Added: 30/06/2009
Updated: 08/07/2009
The Department of Health has funded a three-year NAAPS project to test a business model designed to support and stimulate the development of a range of micro care and support services in order to provide real choice for people that need care or support to live the lives that they choose as part of their local community. The project has successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of this local support agency approach and learning from the first phase has been brought together in a detailed Practical Guide for local authorities and other organisations interested in stimulating and supporting micro enterprise in their area.
This important resource forms part of the Personalisation Toolkit, supporting councils to transform their social care systemsFor more information about the project or for help in establishing a similar support agency in your area, please see link at the bottom of the page.
